What is SEO?
As the world of online marketing continues to evolve, so too does the role of SEO. Once considered a dark art practiced by only the most experienced marketers, SEO is now a vital and integral part of any successful online marketing strategy.
Whether you’re a small business owner looking to increase your visibility online, or a large corporation wanting to make sure you’re getting the most out of your online presence, SEO should be at the heart of your marketing efforts.
In this guide, we’re going to take a look at what SEO is, why it’s so important, and some of the key strategies you need to be aware of in order to make the most of your online presence.
What is SEO?
SEO stands for ‘Search Engine Optimization’. It refers to the process of optimizing a website for Google search with the aim of improving the visibility and organic traffic of that site.
In other words, when someone searches for a particular term or keyword on Google, you want your website to appear as high up on the results page as possible. The higher up you are, the more likely people are to click through to your site.

How to submit a site to search engines in 2022
Submitting your site to search engines is a process that has changed significantly over the years. In the past, it was common to simply submit your website's URL to directories like DMOZ and Yahoo!
Nowadays, however, most search engines use web crawlers that automatically discover new websites and add them to their indexes. This means that, in most cases, you don't need to submit your site to search engines at all.
There are still a few exceptions to this rule, however. For example, if you have a brand new website, it can take awhile for web crawlers to find and index it. In this case, you may want to submit your site to search engines manually.
Additionally, some webmasters still find value in submitting their sites to directories, even though this isn't strictly necessary. If you decide to submit your site to directories or search engines, there are a few things you'll need to do:
1. Find the submission page. For most search engines, you can find the URL submission page by searching for "submit URL."
2. Enter your website's URL. Once you've found the submission page, simply enter your website's address into the provided field.
3. Fill out any additional information. Some submission pages may ask for additional information, such as your website's title or a short description.
4. Hit the submit button. Once you've entered all the necessary information, simply hit the submit button to complete the process.
And that's it! By following these steps, you can submit your site to search engines and help ensure that it will be properly indexed.
